Description
Grandma always found time to listen to a cat purring or to talk with a child about flowers and other special things. She tended to bend the rules for some of her favorite felines, like Oliver, a rescue cat with a traumatic history. My aunt who inherited her mother’s love for ‘all creatures great and small’ reminded me of the date. She deserves credit for helping compose this comforting scene of our family’s matriarch sometime around 1985.
